Plant section

Four stations. One system.

Every plant is matched to fuel, output and application. The stations show the path from the fuel store to the stack.

  1. 01Fuel

Wood chips, bark, agricultural residues or processed waste: Kablitz develops combustion solutions for a wide range of solid fuels, including fuel mixes.

  2. 02Combustion

Air- and water-cooled grate systems form the basis of the combustion. The choice depends on the fuel and the requirements of the plant.

  3. 03Energy

The boiler turns the heat into process steam, hot water or thermal oil. A turbine can generate electricity from steam; hot gas generators deliver the heat directly to the process.

  4. 04Flue gas

Separation, denitrification and sorption: flue gas treatment is matched to the fuel and the emission requirements before the flue gas reaches the stack.

04 — Flue gas treatment

Emission control starts at the design stage.

Our flue gas cleaning solutions reduce emissions and are designed so that your plant complies with the limits that apply to it. In doing so, we combine emission reduction with economical plant operation.

Which stages a plant needs depends on the fuel and the emission requirements. Kablitz references show how the modules work together.

  1. Pre-separation

In hot gas plants, a hot gas cyclone separates the coarse fly ash particles from the flue gas flow.

  2. Denitrification

Multi-stage selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR), in Wiesbaden with acoustic temperature measurement.

  3. Cooling

An evaporative cooler prepares the flue gas for the subsequent cleaning stage.

  4. Dry sorption

Additives such as hydrated lime and hearth furnace coke are added to bind pollutants from the flue gas.

  5. Stack

The cleaned flue gas leaves the plant through the stack.

Not just complying with emission limits but staying well below them: that was the operator’s requirement in Wiesbaden.

After commissioning

Supporting the plant in operation.

Qualified maintenance and tailored service ensure high availability and operational reliability in the long term. Customer service, maintenance, overhauls and conversions are also available for third-party plants.

Your plant. Coordinated from the start.

Describe your site, fuel and output requirements. Kablitz will get in touch for an initial discussion.

Discuss your project

Prepare a technical inquiry

Which data helps with system design?

Describe the required form of energy, output and operating conditions. For steam, mass flow, pressure and temperature are useful; for hot water, thermal oil or hot gas, provide the relevant temperatures and output data.

Can I inquire without complete design data?

Yes. Technical checklist fields are optional: provide the data you already know and leave outstanding points for further discussion.
