Challenge
Bark and untreated biomass were to be used around the clock for electricity and district heating in Wismar.
Solution
Two reciprocating grate firings of 32.94 MW each supply two boilers with a combined 74.3 t/h of steam at 68 bar and 465 °C. Kablitz supplied the plant from the intermediate fuel bunker to the stack – including the turbine, heating condenser and flue gas cleaning.
Result
Since 2022, the plant has been running around the clock; it is equipped for 72 hours of operation without permanent supervision according to TRD 604.
