Hot gases for wood-based panel production. A 90-metre duct connects the plant to the dryer; a reciprocating grate and three granulate burners cover different loads.
15.0 MW
Thermal input, reciprocating grate
Challenge
For OSB, MDF and flooring production, the fossil-fired hot gas generation was to be supplemented or replaced by a plant for different production residues.
Solution
A reciprocating grate covers the base load. Three controllable granulate burners handle peak loads. The outdoor plant delivers flue gases at 350 °C via a 90-metre hot gas duct.
Result
Commissioned in 2010, the plant uses bark, production wood residues and sawdust for the drying process.
