Challenge
An OSB plant needed hot gases for particle drying as well as thermal oil for the press and hall heating.
Solution
The hot gas generator with air-cooled reciprocating grate is followed by a thermal oil boiler. The flue gases are then routed to the particle dryer; a granulate combustion system complements the grate firing.
Result
Commissioned in 2016, the plant combines thermal oil supply and drying with the energy use of residual fuels.
