Challenge
A municipal energy supplier planned to supply public buildings and private households via a district heating network of around 5.5 kilometres.
Solution
Grate and afterburning chamber are combined with a two-part thermal oil heater. A split system and a finned-plate heat exchanger use the flue gas heat; an electrostatic precipitator cleans the flue gases.
Result
Commissioned in 2012, the biomass CHP plant provides district heating and electrical energy.
