We have developed a water-cooled version of our air-cooled grate type 415 for the combustion of high-calorific fuels. The water-cooled grate significantly reduces wear on the grate bars.
Our system is so flexible that any part of the grate bar rows can be either air-cooled or water-cooled. This allows individual adaptation of the grate to the properties of the fuel. It is also compatible with the air-cooled grate type 415, which means that an existing air-cooled grate can be retrofitted with water cooling. All you have to do is replace the grate coating and complete the pipework. Conversely, it is of course also possible to turn the water-cooled grate into a purely air-cooled one, should the fuel change in the future.
